have been away for while from DA. My father just a had pretty server stroke on his birthday. He was in the hospital for about 1 month and is now at home. it is truly amazing and yet at the same time profoundly sad that such a tragedy can focus ones mind and feeling into what needs to be done. decisions that I thought i had a long time to make no longer seem to have the luxury. life is so precious and short. we need to spend each and every second doing what truly makes us happy and close to our friends and family. please don't wait until it is too late to tell that someone how you feel. don't regret not spending the time with family and loved ones. do not not tell her or him how you truly feel. life is to short not to make decisions that bring happiness into it. find the joy in your heart and in your surroundings and bring them in and let them blossom.

Thanks! Im still learning new things. the new shots I used a flash outside for fill. I bought a Canon 580ex awhile ago, but never had the chance to use it. I have no clue how to use it, so I just set it up to sync to the shutter speed for all the outdoor shots. I have about 20 images of indoor shots that I did also, but using the flash indoors was a little more difficult to get that natural light look. some shots I had enough light, others i didnt. I still need to play with that. Im still using a canon digital rebel, but Im saving for the Canon 5D mark II :D (cant wait!!)

if you want to learn how to shoot with flash then you really should read strobist. [link]


they are a fantastic and free resource about flash photography. be forewarned, they will make you want to shoot off camera flash. that means at least 2 pocket wizards about 400 dollars you can get cheaper but why when you can get the best [ :-) ]. but they are worth it. i learn a lot from them and would recommend doing their 101 lesson first and learn from then on. might want to save up for 5dmarkIII should be coming soon as canon just announced their 1dmarkIV and should follow up with a new 1dsMarkIV and then a new 5DmarkIII (hopefully with better focusing and full weather sealing). that is just my guess though i hope it come true.
